    •Continuing focus of bring jobs to Delaware, such as Bloom Energy, Capital One and Amazon.Com.
    •Working with small businesses to help with financial matters and expand.
    •Assisted the University of Delaware to reconstruct the former Chrysler plant into a national research center.


  • CONSTITUENT SERVICES:
    •Resolving local resident’s difficulties with various state agencies such as unemployment, social services and veteran affairs.
    •Continuously working with DelDot to maintain and improve our roadways.
    •Serving as a liaison between homeowners and state/federal agencies to resolve drainage issues.
    •Ensures that civic associations receive snow reimbursement payments on time.
    •Making our communities safer by installing crosswalks, speed bumps, flexi-cones, and various traffic signs.
    •Improve quality of life issues, such as improving walking/bike paths around the district.

  • LEGISLATION:
    •Expanded and enhanced health coverage for children and those with disabilities.
    •Continually works to improve educational opportunities for our children.
    •Co-sponsor of legislation to put quality teachers in Delaware classrooms.
    •Secured the national education award “Race to the Top” for Delaware Schools.
    •Collaborated on numerous DUI and other traffic safety legislative initiatives.
    •Co-sponsored legislation to ban use of cell phones whiles driving.
    •Prime sponsor of several pieces of legislation to enhance of lives of our veterans.
    •Obtained funding for the third wing of the Veteran’s Home.
    •Rewrote the Delaware Code regarding general, special, school and municipal election laws.
    •Fights for protection of animals – authored recent “Sharkfin” legislation.
    •Ensured equality for all first responders – “Michelle Smith Law”.
    •One of the top supporters of police and firefighters in the General Assembly.
    •Working with Governor on improving Lums Pond State Park facilities.
